Deepika Padukone’s beauty and popularity is unmatched, both on Indian and international grounds. While back home she has had the most successful year with her movie Padmaavat making record breaking business, she has been creating ripples on the international soils too. She made two terrific appearances at the Met Gala and Cannes recently and all her outings at these dos were much appreciated. At Met Gala, she was seen wearing a red Prabal Gurung gown aligning with the theme Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. She turned into a scarlet beauty with Atelier Prabal Gurung cardinal strapless gown with hand-draped silk gazar sculptural shoulder bloom and side draped chapel train with Tasaki Atelier embellishments. Other than looking DROP DEAD gorgeous, she also hung out with pretty cool people from Hollywood too.

The Padmaavat actress chilled with Hailee Steinfeld and Diane Kruger. DP was seen matching her red lips with the international superstar Karlie Kloss who later poster a picture with her on Insta. She captioned it as, “So much love for this lady @deepikapadukone.” Looks like Deepika has made a lasting impression on her.

On the professional front, DP has not signed anything post Padmaavat. She was supposed to Vishal Bharadwaj’s gangster biopic on Mumbai mafia queen Sapna Didi but since her co-star Irrfan Khan fell ill, the project has been indefinitely postponed. There is a conjecture that she will be seen next in a superhero flick with oodles of action scenes produced by Fox Star Studios. But there is no confirmation on this front as of now. But we hope to see her soon on screen!

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has always taken physical and mental fitness very seriously. The former professional shooter turned politician has given some of the known celebrities a special task. He took to this Twitter to urge the Indian citizens to follow a better and healthy lifestyle. After urging the citizens to participate, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore challenged Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, shuttler Saina Nehwal, and Hrithik Roshan to join the #FitnessChallenge to inspire others. After Hrithik, many celebrities have started a chain of tags and have urged others to continue the challenge. Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Tiger Shroff have joined the bandwagon.

Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram to take the challenge and revealed that she is passionate about fitness and loves running. She has challenged all of her friends from sports fraternity. She captioned the video, “I am extremely passionate about fitness…and my new obsession…running! Thank You @pvsindhu1 ! I challenge @mithaliraj @ranirampal4 @aditigolf #HumFitTohIndiaFit.”

Anushka Sharma was challenged by her hubby Virat Kohli and she sportingly took on the challenge. She has now challenged her friends Dipika Pallikal and Sui Dhaaga co-star Varun Dhawan. Sharing a video from her gym, she was seen lifting weights. She captioned the video. “I accept your challenge @imVKohli. Here’s my video for the #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge. I’d like to nominate my friends, @DipikaPallikal and @Varun_dvn Great initiative @Ra_THORe sir! #ComeOutAndPlay.”

Tiger Shroff is the third one to take up the challenge. He showed off his insane gymnastic skills as he did the flip with such an ease. He has challenged Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor and Karan Johar. On the work front, Deepika Padukone is currently going through scripts before she locks in her next project. Anushka Sharma, on the other hand, will be seen in two films this year- Sui Dhaaga: Made in India and Zero. Tiger Shroff is currently shooting for Student of the Year 2 which will release in November, this year.

We have been waiting with bated breathe for Deepika Padukone to announce a new film soon after Padmaavat and looks like the wait is over now. For the uninitiated, the leggy lass was supposed to do a gangster film based on Mumbai mafia queen Sapna Didi. Irrfan Khan was supposed to play a male lead with her but owing to his ill health, the film was postponed. Post that, her fans and industry alike were super eager for Deepika to sign a film soon. She specified that she wanted to do a light hearted love story next and now, there is a speculation again that she has signed a superhero film next with Fox Star Studios and it is set to be made on a MASSIVE scale. There is a buzz that DP has finally locked on the script after curating through many projects and she is very excited to do an out-an-out action film.

Interestingly, Deepika’s ex Ranbir too will be seen in a superhero film next. We can’t help but draw the parallels here. Looks like after historical biographies and love stories, superhero films will be a new trend in Bollywood. If of course masses lap them up. Only time will tell if filmmakers will be able to crack the formula or no!

On personal front, there is a speculation that Deepika Padukone will get married to Ranveer Singh sometime in November.
