Welcome to paradise. The new trailer for Future World, the latest James Franco movie, has arrived. And it takes the actor-director into an Apocalyptic Wasteland, surrounding him with quite the eclectic cast. This is Franco's directorial follow-up to The Disaster Artist, but don't look for the same type of critical praise. This is standard issue Drive-In movie fare with a twist.

You can watch the fight to save humanity in the new trailer for Future World, which was actually co-directed by James Franco and Bruce Thierry. Suki Waterhouse joins in on the fun. The two are joined by Jeffrey Wahlberg, Margarita Levieva, Snoop Dogg, Geirge Lewis Jr., and Cliff "Method Man" Smith. That's more than enough cast for any movie, to be sure. But both Lucy Liu and Milla Jovovich are also coming along for the ride.

This apocalyptic thriller follows Prince (Jeffrey Wahlberg) as he travels from a desert oasis through dangerous barren waste lands to find a near-mythical medicine to save the life of the Queen, his mother (Lucy Liu). You catch it in select theaters, On Demand, and on iTunes & Amazon May 25, 2018! Though, it will be facing off against some pretty stiff competition, as that's the same day Lucasfilm and Disney are unleashing Solo: A Star Wars Story into theaters. And we probably don't have to guess which one is going to capture the country's attention first. But if you want to stay away from the box office crowds, this is a nice streaming alternative.

Inside a desert oasis, a queen (Lucy Liu) lays dying as her son Prince (Jeffrey Wahlberg) travels across barren waste lands to find a near-mythical medicine to save her life. After evading violent raiders on motorbikes led by the Warlord (James Franco) and his enforcer (Cliff "Method Man" Smith), Prince meets Ash (Suki Waterhouse), the Warlord's robot sex companion-assassin who's in search of her own soul. As Prince is captured by the Druglord (Milla Jovovich), the Warlord's forces roar in, and Prince fights to save the remnants of humanity.

Directors James Franco and Bruce Thierry Cheung are working from a script written by Bruce Thierry Cheung, Jeremy Craig Cheung, Jay Davis. The movie is produced by Scott Reed, Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Vince Jolivette, Jay Davis. Arriving from Lionsgate Premiere, the movie is rated R for violence, sexual content/nudity, language and drug use.

This is James Franco's first major release since he was accused of sexual misconduct by a number of former students. The allegations mostly got Franco shut down at the Oscars after he walked away with a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a comedy. The news kind of fell out of the media cycle, so it will be interesting to see how Franco is welcomed back into the spotlight for his work rather than his notorious alleged activities. You can check out the trailer and poster here.

A new teaser for Jurassic World 2 has arrived online in advance of a new, full-length trailer to be released on Wednesday. Since the sequel arrives in theaters on June 22, it's highly likely that this will be the final full trailer that we get. Though, there are sure to be quite a few TV spots once the release date gets closer. For now, we have a new 30-second teaser, that packs an awful lot into a short window and really emphasizes the horror elements of Fallen Kingdom.

This brief teaser opens up with the shot of Owen (Chris Pratt) in the truck with the T-rex, which doesn't go well. There are a few new shots of the hybrid Indoraptor in here as well, which looks to be formidable and terrifying. Easily the coolest shot is of the Mosasaurus from the first Jurassic World. This time, he's swimming out in the open ocean with a bunch of surfers, which is reminiscent of a shot from Blake Lively's shark flick The Shallows, only with a much bigger threat than a shark. Lastly, we get Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm riffing on John Hammond's famous line, with Malcolm saying, "Welcome to Jurassic World."

The big takeaway here is that clearly, dinosaurs are going to make their way to the mainland in a way that will be very threatening to human life. While we know Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is going to take us back to Isla Nublar, a volcanic eruption is going to force the dinosaurs off of the island. According to Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first movie and co-wrote this installment, the volcanic eruption takes place within the first hour of the movie. So that won't be the climax. It's also been promised that this movie won't just feature dinosaurs chasing people around on an island. That seems to be true, as it appears they're going to be chasing people around all over the place.

J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) took over directing duties for this installment. It's been said that Jurassic World 2 will be darker than its predecessor and this brief teaser makes that inescapably clear. While this won't be the first time we've seen dinosaurs on the mainland, as the climax of The Lost World: Jurassic Park brought a T-rex to San Diego, this looks to be doing it on a much more grand scale. Are they going to go full-on Planet of the Apes, but with dinosaurs?

Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park franchise, which had been dormant for 14 years up to that point. The movie grossed $1.67 billion worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing releases ever. Universal appears confident that the sequel will do big business as well, as they've already announced Jurassic World 3 for June of 2021, with Colin Trevorrow returning to direct. While you wait for the full trailer to arrive on Wednesday, be sure to check out the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom teaser, courtesy of Universal Pictures, for yourself below.

A brand new trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has arrived. The Jurassic Park franchise was revived a few years ago with the first Jurassic World, after the third installment put the series to bed for 14 years. Seeing a fully-functioning dinosaur Disneyland appealed to viewers all around the world and now, we're just a few months away from seeing the next installment. While this movie may run the risk of seeming a bit obligatory to some, it certainly looks as though this will be quite a bit different, in that it will be much scarier and will be bringing dinosaurs to the mainland.

Director J.A. Bayona has a history with horror, having directed The Orphanage, as well as a couple of episodes of Penny Dreadful. Based on this new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom footage, it looks very much like he's bringing those sensibilities to this movie. While dinosaurs eating people always comes with a certain amount of terror, Jurassic World definitely had much more of an action/adventure feel to it. With shots of that Indoraptor in the little girl's bedroom and the Mosasaurus loose in the ocean, there's a lot more straight-up scary going on here.

Colin Trevorrow, director of Jurassic World, returns as an executive producer and co-writer for Jurassic World 2. He wrote the script with his frequent collaborator Derek Connolly. Universal has already announced that Jurassic World 3 is set to arrive in theaters on June 11, 2021. In addition to co-writing the script for the finale of this new trilogy with franchise newcomer Emily Carmichael, Trevorrow will return to the director's chair once more. Point being, Fallen Kingdom will leave the door wide open for the narrative to continue, but it's not clear just how that's going to play out. We know for sure that the volcanic eruption is going to force the dinosaurs off of Isla Nublar. So maybe we're heading for something like Dawn of the Planet of the Dinosaurs here.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing respectively in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, with B.D. Wong also back as Dr. Henry Wu and Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Ian Malcolm. The cast also includes Ted Levine, James Cromwell, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith and Geraldine Chaplin. Sadly, Laura Dern, as far as we know, isn't going to cameo as Ellie Sattler, but her return has been possibly teased for Jurassic World 3.

Jurassic World grossed $1.67 billion at the worldwide box office, making it one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. So it's no surprise that we're getting this sequel. The question is, can it possibly do as well at the box office? And, more importantly for moviegoers, can it actually be good? We'll know soon enough, as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom arrives in theaters on June 22. Be sure to check out the brand new trailer, courtesy of Universal Pictures, for yourself below.
