John Abraham, not surprisingly is on a promotional spree for his forthcoming film Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran. The film, which has already faced immense delay, has finally hit the theatres today. But before that, the actor decided to visit the sets of Kent Cricket Live for a small chat session with cricketer Irfan Pathan.

Kent Cricket Live saw John Abraham bringing in some love for Chennai Super Kings and their skipper Mahindra Singh Dhoni aka Mahi to the pre-show of today’s VIVO IPL clash between – Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The segment was aired exclusively on the Star Sports Network on May 22 in the evening.

The segment was aired as part of the pre-show for the day’s VIVO IPL fixture and also featured Irfan Pathan and host Jatin Sapru as the trio discussed John’s passion for Chennai Super Kings and his long-standing brotherhood with Mahendra Singh Dhoni. “He’s really vicious on the field” said John, smirking mischievously.

The actor expressed his love for motorcycles and his thriving friendship with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In fact, John also shared an unusual experience that defines Dhoni’s Athleticism saying, “We once went to my office to get the bikes out and found that the watchman had fallen asleep and the main gate was locked. So, we both jumped from the side and went in. But when coming out we had to go over the gate. I don’t know how he did it but in a few jumps, he made it over the gate easily. I thought if Mahi can do it then so can I, so I ran and did the exact same thing and my pant got stuck in the gate and tore. Honestly, he’s really athletic.”

Fans also got an exclusive sneak peek into John’s upcoming movie Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran highlighting the defining nuclear tests in 1998 that made India a global superpower.

The first trailer for Jacques Audiard's The Sisters Brothers features Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly as assassin brothers. The movie is Audiard's follow up to his Palme D'Or Winning Dheepan, which premiered at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. The trailer for Sisters Brothers shows hints of the work of the Coen Brothers with quirky characters mixed with comedic, yet dark situations. The film is based off of Patrick Dewitt's acclaimed novel of the same name and follows two brothers, Eli (Joaquin Phoenix) and Charlie Sisters (John C. Reilly) who are hired to kill a prospector who has stolen from their boss.

The Sisters Brothers story is a western movie with dark comedic elements and takes place in Oregon in 1851. Throughout the trailer, John C. Reilly's Charlie character is trying to convince Joaquin Phoenix's Eli character that they have enough money to retire and that they don't have to kill people anymore, to which Eli laughs. The plot thickens when they are sent to hunt Warm (Riz Ahmed), who is a chemist who has found a way to easily spot gold. The Sisters Brothers both begin to question their ways when they catch up to Warm and his partner, Morris (Jake Gyllenhaal).

The Sisters Brothers trailer highlights the acting chops of Joaquin Phoenix, John C. Reilly, Riz Ahmed, and Jake Gyllenhaal as an ensemble and especially the chemistry between Reilly and Phoenix. The trailer is barely 3-minutes long and the relationship between Eli and Charlie Sisters is perfectly laid out, showing the dynamics of their relationship with comedic flourishes. Reilly's Charlie storms out of a saloon after Phoenix's Eli smacks him in the face, only to follow him outside and ask him to return the favor. Charlie obliges and nearly knocks Eli out, leading to a humorous exchange between the two brothers.

While there are elements of the humor laced in The Sisters Brothers first trailer, there is drama too and high stakes, which is the delicate balance. Even after watching the trailer just once, viewers will be able to tell that there's a lot more going on under the surface, which is also highlighted in the source material. For those wishing to get some studying done before The Sisters Brothers hits theaters, you can pick up Patrick Dewitt's novel.

The Sisters Brothers hits theaters this fall. No official release date has been announced at this time, but should be revealed soon now that the first trailer has been released. The dark western comedy may seem like a weird turn for Jacques Audiard, but The Sisters Brothers features his distinct style, even in the brief trailer, and it looks to be something to look forward to. Paramount sets release date for Elton John biopic, Rocketman

Your regularly scheduled game of Release Date Shuffle continues, after WB moved some films around and Fox 2000 set a date for The Hate U Give, and now it’s Paramount’s turn. The studio has announced that they’ve set, shifted, and outright removed some films from their upcoming release schedule.

Up first is their in-development biopic of Elton John. Titled Rocketman and set to star Taron Egerton, who co-starred with the musician in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the film will be released on May 17, 2019. Rocketman will open against John Wick: Chapter 3, A Dog’s Journey, and The Sun is Also a Star on that date. Dexter Fletcher will be directing the film from a script by Lee Hall. Matthew Vaughn and his Marv Films will be producing alongside Elton John with his Rocket Pictures partner David Furnish. Production is set to start this summer.

Next up is the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary, which is actually moving ahead by two weeks from April 19, 2019 to April 5, 2019. Directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch (Starry Eyes), the film is written by Jeff Buhler and is set to star John Lithgow in the role of Jud Crandall, previously played by the late Fred Gwynne in the 1989 adaptation of the book.

Furthermore, Paramount has announced that the previously announced, albeit untitled, Transformers 6 has been removed from their schedule entirely. The film was rumored to be scrapped after the series was said to be taking a different turn with the upcoming Bumblebee solo movie.

Finally, in the wake of Transformers 6’s cancellation, Paramount has slotted the Tiffany Hadish vehicle Limited Partners in the original release date for the robots in disguise. The comedy will debut June 28, 2019.
