Karan Johar, who has worked non-stop for the last year, has taken a short break from work on his birthday to New York, where he plans to rest, relax and retail. The actor rang in his 46th birthday at midnight with a couple of friends. He threw an intimate terrace party which included some of his good friends including Bhumi Pednekar.

While Karan Johar is enjoying his day, his celebrities friends have flooded the Internet with best wishes for him. From Katrina Kaif to Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt to Parineeti Chopra, everyone has sharing best memories with amazing photographs on his special day.

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram to send best wishes to her mentor who launched her in Bollywood with Student of the Year. She wrote, “Happy birthday my father, my friend, my life teacher, my selfie-teacher! I must’ve done something right in my last life to deserve an all in one relationship with a beautiful soul like you. Love you to the moon and back karan. Thank you for being you. Miss you.”

Sonam Kapoor shared a picture from her recent mehendi ceremony in which Karan Johar is giving see a sweet kiss on her cheek. “@karanjohar happy happy birthday my darling brother from another mother.. love you to the moon and back… May you always shine brighter than all the stars in the universe! Thank you always for your friendship, love, generosity and incredible humour. I will always have your back! @reelsandframes,” she captioned the photo.

Katrina Kaif shared a pretty cozy picture with Karan and wrote, “Happy birthday @karanjohar …U always have time for people , and have so much love , care and compassion for everyone. May all the love and happiness u give around, return to u this year.”

Even Parineeti Chopra sent a message and quipped how Karan taught her how to pout. “Throwback to the day you taught me how to pout!! But I’ve learnt so much more from you ❤️ happppy happppy bday Karan. They really dont make humans like you anymore. @karanjohar, ” she captioned alongside the video
