Celebrities are forever in the eye of the spotlight. But for Janhvi Kapoor, it seems to be a different case altogether. In fact, even before Janhvi’s debut film hits screens, it seems that she has become a star, with fans and paparazzi following her almost everywhere. Just recently, Janhvi was mobbed on the streets in Bandra by fans and the paparazzi, but what caught our attention was the way the young actress handled the attention.

Dressed like she was either heading to or from the gym, Janhvi was surrounded by street kids who came to get a glimpse of her as well as photographers, who kept calling out for a perfect shot. Appreciating the love and affection shown, Janhvi paused for a few moments before being escorted to her car. Simultaneously, the street kids too seemed pretty happy with the fact that Janhvi spent a few moments there acknowledging them before heading out.

Back on the work front, Janhvi Kapoor, whose debut film Dhadak is yet to hit the screens might just be the most awaited debut of 2018. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and also featuring Ishaan Khatter, the film is slated to release in July.

Boney Kapoor is a broken man and the reason is too obvious. He lost his wife Sridevi who also was the love of his life about two months ago due to accidental drowning. Now, he is seen piecing his life back together and has recently revealed that he is finding moving on very difficult. His elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s first film Dhadak is all set to release this year and he is busy trying to make up for Sridevi’s presence in his daughters’ life. Speaking about this difficult phase he said that he is trying to be both a mother and a father to the children. He also said that since she was suddenly gone, these past months have been very difficult. Everything went on a freeze-pause in their lives. There were so many things left unsaid and undone but he is finally picking up the pieces again trying to put his life together for his kids’ sake. He revealed later that he has still not come to terms with Sridevi’s death and feels extremely empty.

Boney is making a biopic on Sridevi and has even registered three titles. He was present with his daughters in Delhi a few days ago to receive an award on behalf of Sri. She was awarded the best actress award for her smashing performance in Mom. On her passing away he had written in a press note, “To the world she was their Chandni… the actor par excellence… their Sridevi… but to me she was my love, my friend, mother to our girls… my partner. To our daughters, she was their everything… their life. She was the axis around which our family ran.”

At the time of this adversity, the entire Kapoor Clan stood by Boney and his daughters.

Sridevi’s sudden demise shocked the entire industry. It has been more than two months now and we still don’t know how to react to this unfortunate event. Imagine what must be the plight of her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. Recently, Sri was presented with best actress title at the coveted National Awards posthumously for her contribution to her last movie Mom. Her husband and daughters were in the capital to receive it on her behalf. Boney was visibly emotional while he accepted the certificate from The President. Janhvi Kapoor was approached by press to share her feelings about the same. She thanked everyone for the award and also spoke how special the film Mom was for her mother. Boney tried to nudge her more to talk but she was unable to do so. She told press that she does not want to discuss the topic further.

Janhvi Kapoor said, “I think both of us (Khushi and I) would like to thank the jury for recognizing the hard work, perseverance and dedication that my mother has put into this role. It was very special to her and we are very happy that she is being appreciated for it.” On work front, she will be seen in Karan Johar’s Dhadak opposite Shahid Kapoor’s kid brother Ishaan Khatter. It is an adaptation of Marathi movie Sairat and is helmed by Shashank Khaitan. Though she received a major setback after her mom’s death, she did not let it reflect it professionally. She was back on the sets in no time and continued with her shoot.

In joint press release sent by Boney Kapoor and the girls they thanked Government of India for this recognition and said, “We are overjoyed to know that the Jury has conferred the Best Actor Award to Sridevi for her performance in Mom. It’s a very special moment for all of us. She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all the 300 plus films she did. She was not just a super actor but a Super Wife and a Super Mom. It’s time to celebrate her life and her achievements. She is not with us today but her legacy will always live on.”
