A new teaser for Jurassic World 2 has arrived online in advance of a new, full-length trailer to be released on Wednesday. Since the sequel arrives in theaters on June 22, it's highly likely that this will be the final full trailer that we get. Though, there are sure to be quite a few TV spots once the release date gets closer. For now, we have a new 30-second teaser, that packs an awful lot into a short window and really emphasizes the horror elements of Fallen Kingdom.

This brief teaser opens up with the shot of Owen (Chris Pratt) in the truck with the T-rex, which doesn't go well. There are a few new shots of the hybrid Indoraptor in here as well, which looks to be formidable and terrifying. Easily the coolest shot is of the Mosasaurus from the first Jurassic World. This time, he's swimming out in the open ocean with a bunch of surfers, which is reminiscent of a shot from Blake Lively's shark flick The Shallows, only with a much bigger threat than a shark. Lastly, we get Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm riffing on John Hammond's famous line, with Malcolm saying, "Welcome to Jurassic World."

The big takeaway here is that clearly, dinosaurs are going to make their way to the mainland in a way that will be very threatening to human life. While we know Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is going to take us back to Isla Nublar, a volcanic eruption is going to force the dinosaurs off of the island. According to Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first movie and co-wrote this installment, the volcanic eruption takes place within the first hour of the movie. So that won't be the climax. It's also been promised that this movie won't just feature dinosaurs chasing people around on an island. That seems to be true, as it appears they're going to be chasing people around all over the place.

J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) took over directing duties for this installment. It's been said that Jurassic World 2 will be darker than its predecessor and this brief teaser makes that inescapably clear. While this won't be the first time we've seen dinosaurs on the mainland, as the climax of The Lost World: Jurassic Park brought a T-rex to San Diego, this looks to be doing it on a much more grand scale. Are they going to go full-on Planet of the Apes, but with dinosaurs?

Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park franchise, which had been dormant for 14 years up to that point. The movie grossed $1.67 billion worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing releases ever. Universal appears confident that the sequel will do big business as well, as they've already announced Jurassic World 3 for June of 2021, with Colin Trevorrow returning to direct. Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Death of Superman. This is far from the first time that the famed comic book storyline has been brought to the screen, but we've yet to get a truly faithful adaptation. While it's clear based on this footage that this movie is taking some hefty liberties with the source material, it does look like we could be in for a much more faithful interpretation of the seminal DC Comics story.

The footage mostly focuses on Doomsday's arrival to Earth and his ensuing battle with the various members of the Justice League. They all get their butts handed to them pretty badly, as Doomsday is a formidable foe. After all, he is the being that managed to actually kill Superman. That climactic bit is teased pretty heavily here as well. This looks like it's going to be an action-packed animated DC adventure that could get pretty emotional. But as with many things comic book related, the stakes are never that high, or at least not permanent, for characters like Superman.

In The Death of Superman, when a hulking monster emerges from an underground resting place and begins a mindless rampage, the Justice League is quickly called in to stop the colossal force of nature. But it soon becomes apparent that only Superman can stand against the monstrosity that has been nicknamed Doomsday. Battling their way throughout America, the two fight to a standstill as they reach the heart of Metropolis. Going punch for punch, Superman finally ends the threat of Doomsday as he throws one last punch and collapses forever.

When DC killed Superman, it became much more than just an event for comic book readers. It was a true pop culture phenomenon, with the book selling out at retailers around the country. In the world of DC Comics, Superman stayed dead for a bit, but was later revived. Warner Bros. will also be adapting the second part of this story in an animated feature, which will arrive in 2019, making for a complete, two-part Death and Return of Superman arc. These DC animated movies tend to do very well in the eyes of fans, but this story has been tackled before. Superman: Doomsday previously took on The Death of Superman story, but only in a very loose fashion. That being the case, it didn't really satisfy those who want to see the tale told in a more faithful manner. Maybe this will do the trick.

The movie stars Jerry O'Connell (Superman), Rebecca Romijn (Lois Lane), Rainn Wilson (Lex Luthor), Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), Christopher Gorham (Flash), Matt Lanter (Aquaman), Shemar Moore (Cyborg) and Jason O'Mara (Batman). Warner Bros. has yet to set an exact release date, but the movie will arrive this summer on Blu-ray/DVD and digital platforms. Jurassic World 2 is just around the corner, so what better time for hucksters to come out of the woodwork with their own dinosaur thrillers designed on the cheap. Maybe you can't make it out opening weekend? Well, never fear, you can always catch Jurassic Predator at home on VOD, and who knows? It might make for the funner experience.

In Jurassic Predator, scientists working at a top secret government research facility are conducting experiments to resurrect a dinosaur using prehistoric DNA. The scientists believe the experiment will lead to fame and fortune but instead it leads to death and destruction when the terrifying T-Rex grows at an accelerated pace. After rampaging through the research centre, the fearsome creature escapes into nearby Devil's Creek. The government hires a squad of deadly mercenaries to lead a search and destroy mission. It's man against the most vicious beast of all time - and neither will survive while the other is alive.

Directed by Andrew Jones, the movie stars Nathan Head, Richard Dee-Roberts, Jason Homewood, Derek Nelson, Lee Jones, and Lee Bane. While the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom team have been raving about their practical dinosaurs, these guys have them to. There's definitely some practical fx dinos on the hunt! The movie comes From 4Digital Media and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Andrew Jones has been making movies since 2006, and he's mostly worked in the often sneered at genre of the mock buster. He often does mashup titles like this, taking two very popular franchises and hammering one sorted movie out of them. He's done horror movies like The Amityvill Asylum, The Last House on Cemetery Lane, and Poltergeist Activity. He's also done a series of Annabelle knockoffs that start with The Curse of Robert the Doll and are followed by The Revenge of Robert the Doll and Robert Reborn. He currently has five other movies in post-production.

Jurassic Predator is clearly riffing on Jurassic World and the sequel Fallen Kingdom. That movie is hitting theaters June 22. So this thing is beating it to the streets, arriving on June 5. Though we doubt it will cause any disruption or direct competition. Let's face it. This is a cheap B-grade Drive-In piece of trash, as fun as it may be. Jurassic World 2 could also be called that. But at least it has some grade A effects being thrown behind it and an A-List Hollywood cast.

If you're hungry for more dinos this summer, and just don't feel like Fallen Kingdom will be able to satiate your every waking need, then go for Jurassic Predator. It looks like it will deliver the right kind of goods to your doorstep. Take a look at the first trailer and poster from 4Digital Media. It might look cheap, but that never stopped something from being an absolute blast.
