There is immense excitement amongst the audience to witness the much awaited Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor as the yesteryear actor. While the audience is eagerly waiting for the trailer of the film, makers Rajkumar Hirani and Vinod Chopra showcased the trailer to Ranbir Kapoor’s father Rishi Kapoor. The veteran actor was pleasantly surprised at the fine performance of his son.

On watching the trailer, a teary-eyed Rishi Kapoor said, “The way Rajkumar Hirani has presented Ranbir is the biggest Superb thing, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.” The proud dad further added saying, “You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod (Chopra) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.”

After praising the young actor, Rishi Kapoor jokingly said, “I shouldn’t praise him so much, He’s good and still got to improve, and still got to do good work. I love you my boy (Ranbir)”.

The biopic depicts the various stages of Sanjay Dutt’s life, the teaser of which has already piqued the interests of the audience. Sanju showcases the highs and lows of Sanjay Dutt’s life-giving an insight into the unbelievable story of the actor. The teaser has garnered immense appreciation for the apt portrayal of Sanjay Dutt’s life. While Ranbir Kapoor is being showered with praises for his amazing transformation into each phase of Sanjay Dutt’s life, Rajkumar Hirani is hailed for his realistic portrayal.

The director released multiple posters of the film, revealing the varied looks of Ranbir Kapoor from the biopic. All the posters have gained immense appreciation from the audience and critics alike for the striking resemblance to Sanjay Dutt.

Rajkumar Hirani introduces Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt in the latest poster with a heart-warming moment shared by the father-son duo. The latest poster of Sanju features a shaken Sanjay Dutt played by Ranbir Kapoor being comforted by father Sunil Dutt portrayed by Paresh Rawal. Ranbir Kapoor is seen vulnerable while there is a visible worry on Paresh Rawal’s face.

Sonam Kapoor’s look from Rajkumar Hirani’s much publicised Sanju is out and we are impressed already. The film is set to release next month and as promised, the filmmaker is all set to release every actor’s look from the film every day till May 30 which is the official date of the release of the trailer. In the poster, Sonam is seen in a jubilant mood with a young Sanjay Dutt portrayed oh-so-so perfectly by Ranbir! From this we get to see his merry, chocolate boy side which is so different from the grungy, action hero type image portrayed to us till now. Sonam’s look is total retro and suits her perfectly. In an interview Sonam had refused to give any details about her role to media but when quizzed if she is playing Madhuri Dixit in the film, she replied in negative saying that she is not playing an actress in the film. The latest poster of Sanju unveils yet another facade of the colourful life of Sanjay Dutt. The newest aspect of the film showcases a free spirited Ranbir Kapoor playing Dutt along with Sonam Kapoor who will be seen as his love interest in the film.

With Sonam Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani is all set to give the audience glimpses into the crazy, controversial love life of Sanjay Dutt in the 80s. While earlier posters and teaser revealed only Ranbir Kapoor’s looks in the film, the latest poster gives us a glimpse of another character for the first time.  The teaser showcased a young Sanju mention about 308 women being a part of his life, the poster further pumps up excitement levels, to know yet another aspect of one of Bollywood’s most interesting actors.

Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju trailer will be dropped on May 30 and the filmmaker has promised us that he will release the look of every actor till then. Today, he posted a still from a movie which showcases the crazy lover boy side of the actor and it has Sonam Kapoor as his girlfriend from his early days. Sanju portrays an incredible story of Sanjay Dutt which his closed ones claim is stranger than fiction. Well, Sonam’s role in the movie was touted to be similar to Tina Munim or Madhuri Dixit’s real life characters. On being asked about the same, she has revealed that she has a small but important part in the movie and she is not playing an actress. Well, while the makers keep the suspense on about Sonam’s character we could not help but get major Neerja feels when we saw this still.

One look at Sonam’s retro look and we are transported back to her 2016 release, Neerja. With a similar hair do and that charming smile, she gave us strong déjà vu feels which has piqued our interest to see her as a lady love to young Sanjay Dutt. Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania are coming up with an all-girls madcap film, Veere Di Wedding, directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea and Ekta Kapoor. The buzz around the movie is super positive and everything from the trailer, music to the first rushes of the film has had masses talking about this project. Also, this film is supposed to be Kareena’s comeback vehicle after maternity break and therefore the entire hullabaloo about it is sort of justified. The film has a coming of age plot and features four friends and their lives. All four women are going all out promoting the movie. At the recent promotional event, they were asked if the movie was made with four men who would they cast in it. Okay so the names that popped were Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Abhay Deol among others. But you should know the comments the two Kapoor girls gave while they said that they wanted to cast Ranbir.

While Sonam’s first choice to play Kareena’s character was Hrithik, Bebo replied that Ranbir Kapoor would essay her role. Sonam’s report to this was mind-blowing. She said, “Ranbir? Haan, for sure! He’ll be running.” Is she hinting at the Kapoor scion’s Casanova real life image? Whoa, we sure wanted to hear what the Sanju star wants to say about this. Also, we know there is some history between Sonam and Ranbir so we are not even surprised that she said this.

Veere Di Wedding is a pretty personal film for all four actresses and we want this film to do well at the box office simply because inspired by its success, more women oriented films will be made.

Well, many films which feature Ranbir Kapoor as the leading man have been shown to Rishi Kapoor. The veteran actor, however, has never overtly praised his son’s work sticking to the fact that he has been one of the biggest critics of his son. However, we hear that the teaser of Sanju has left Kapoor senior heavily impressed.

For the uninitiated, the teaser of Sanju that released recently showcased the varied avatars sported by real life Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt in his life span. The film is expected to showcase his life until he was released from imprisonment. The said teaser of Sanju was welcomed with mixed reactions but if there was one factor that everyone agreed to was the striking resemblance.

Many accepted that Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor had a striking similarity in the trailer and that the Kapoor lad imbibed Dutt’s behavior with aplomb. Similar was the opinion of Rishi Kapoor. He was not only impressed with his son’s homework on Sanjay Dutt but he was completely blown away with it. Furthermore, the veteran actor was shown some more glimpses of the film to get his opinion. Seeing it, Rishi Kapoor seems to have had a tear or two in his eyes, according to recent reports.

These reports also suggest that when Ranbir Kapoor was told about the reaction, he too got emotional after listening to his father’s reaction on the film. It is not a new fact that Ranbir Kapoor has always respected and admired his father’s work. He also considers his opinion on films as very integral and hence owing to the same, his reaction on Sanju left Ranbir overwhelmed.

Speaking on Sanju, it is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Fox Star Studios. It features an ensemble cast of Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal with Anushka Sharma in a cameo. It is slated to release on June 29.
