The civil war in the United States was over. The former colonel of the northerners goes to Mexico with a herd of three thousand horses, and the former colonel of southerners destroys his plantation and house and goes with his family to seek new life abroad. The roads of two colonels intersect when they are attacked by Mexican bandits. Both heroes realize that there is a new cause to fight for - the cause of the leader of the insurgents Juarez.
