The plot takes place at the time after war. An orphaned girl prepares to enter the convent. It becomes apparent that she can’t make a good nun because of her cheerfulness. Mother superior notices that and gives the girl an advice to live a normal life. The heroine gets a job as a housekeeper employed by a veteran whose late wife has left him with seven children.
